Khutba: Preparing for Marriage

Dear Brothers and Sisters! Whilst counting the blessings Allah (swt) has bestowed upon us he mentions in the Quran: “And We created you in pairs.” And there is no doubt that the marriage bond between a man and a woman is the most beautiful bond between two people. In order to emphasise the importance of marriage, Rasulallah (saw) addressed the youth as follows: “O young men, whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity, and whoever cannot then he should fast, for it will be a restraint for him.” Therefore, a believer finds the opportunity to complete his religion by protecting himself from haram through marriage.

Khutba: Travel Like a Muslim

Dear Brothers and Sisters! There is no doubt that traveling has many benefits. Traveling to different parts of the world and meeting new people and cultures broadens our horizons. New experiences develop our minds. Taking a vacation after working all year can help us to rest and regain strength. Visiting our relatives who live far away and performing the worship of strengthening our ties and bringing us closer to Allah (swt). We can also witness the verses of Allah (swt) by traveling around the world.

Khutba: Dhul-Hijjah: The Period of Abundance

Dear Brothers and Sisters! One of the most special and exceptional time periods in terms of reward is the upcoming month of Dhul-Hijjah. The month of Dhul-Hijjah, which will start from next Sunday, contains many blessings. The month of Dhul-Hijjah is considered to be one of the sacred months in Islam, in which it is specifically forbidden to do injustice. Even though it has not been done for the past two years due to the pandemic, it is the day of pilgrimage where millions of Muslims gather in Arafat, Mina and Muzdalifah to make the pilgrimage and perform prayers and worship that will lead to purification.

Khutba: Deeds without awareness are void

Rasulullah (saw) has said, “There are two blessings that many people are deceived into losing: health and free time.” When we are in good health for a long time, we may be neglectful about how great a blessing health is. But when we fall ill, we remember its value again.
