The religion of Islam, is built on five pillars and one of these is Zakat, which is an act of worship for the benefit of the society for Allah (swt). Zakat is a religious duty that must be fulfilled by every believer who has the minimum wealth required, is sane, and has reached the age of puberty.
Muslims around the world are experiencing a very different excitement these days. There are only a few days left for Ramadan, which has an exceptional value for us. By understanding this month well, Allah (swt) offers us a unique opportunity to tidy ourselves up, take ourselves into account and attain Allah's approval. The most important thing that distinguishes the month of Ramadan from other months and makes it superior is that the Qur'an, which was sent to guide humanity until the end, had started to be sent down in the month of Ramadan.
The human being, Allah (swt), the Lord of the worlds, is the only being with a conscious sense of belonging among other beings. Any ordinary person cannot avoid feeling a sense of belonging to a person, family or society. A Muslim individual, on the other hand, sees himself as an important part of the Islamic Ummah.
Undoubtedly, one of the most important mottos of Islamic values is patience. Prophet Muhammad (saw), who was sent as a mercy to the worlds has said; “Whoever persists in being patient, Allah will make him patient. Nobody can be given a blessing better and greater than patience.”
The shadow of Ramadan, the sultan of eleven months and the time of peace in our hearts, has fallen on us. Next Thursday, on the 15th night of Sha'ban, we will witness Lailatul Barat. Barat means getting rid of sin, debt and punishment in Arabic, therefore reaching the mercy and forgiveness of Allah (swt). Since it was announced that Allah's forgiveness will be abundant, this night is called "Lailatul Barat".
In the Qur'an, some stories are told by Allah (swt) for people to take lessons. These stories are in the nature of advice and include the struggles of the tribes and prophets who lived in the past years. Allah (swt) mentions in the Quran; “We relate to you, [O Muḥammad], the best of stories in what We have revealed to you of this Qur’ān although you were, before it, among the unaware.”The event of Isra and Mi’raj took place In the 12th year of Prophet Muhammad (saw)’s prophethood. The Qur'an describes this great miracle that took place before the Hijra as follows: “Exalted is He who took His Servant [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] by night from al-Masjid al-Ḥarām to al-Masjid al-Aqṣā, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.”
